Kindergarten Registration for Fall 2012

Registration and Roundup sessions for families who will have kindergarten-aged children for the 2012-13 school year, will take place on Feb. 23, Feb. 28, and Mar. 1.

A letter with Roundup details will be mailed to next year's kindergarten families on or about Feb. 3.

To register your child, who must be five years old on or before September 1, into the Spring Lake Park School District, you will need to bring the following to the meeting:

Birth Certificate – A certified legal certificate (with the raised seal) from the country/state in which child was born. (A passport, visa, green card, or documents supporting refugee status is also acceptable.) We will make a photocopy from the original.
Completed District 16 Student Enrollment Forms. (You may print them from our district website, or they will be made available at the information and registration meetings.)

The registration process will be complete once we have the enrollment, birth certificate, and immunization records on file.

Early Childhood Screening

Minnesota law requires that your child be screened before enrollment in public school kindergarten. Early Childhood Screening is a FREE, quick and simple check of your child`s development. It can help identify, at an early stage, possible health or learning concerns, so that children can get help even before starting kindergarten. The service is provided at no cost ot families and the results of each portion are discussed with the parent or guardian. In-Person Registration
Registration packets and school year calendars are available to pick up and fill out in person, at the District Services Center, 1415 81st Avenue NE, Spring Lake Park.
